"Early on the stage, five optimistic riders attacked on the first climbs of La Ribera Critérium. They managed to keep a gap between them and the peloton until they reached the final climb. At the bottom of the climb, the group of favourites passed them. Rider by rider, they couldn't keep up with the tempo set by wild mountain team, who were supporting Mick Meijer. Right behind the riders of wild mountain team was Elías Aicardi and Emil Balling lurking. Mick Meijer looked strong, and seemed to have a good day, but when Emil Balling launched an attack, only Elías Aicardi could follow. Elías Aicardi made a counter-attack and was suddenly alone in the front, as Mick Meijer caught up Emil Balling once again. Elías Aicardi secured his victory without problems, while Mick Meijer was faster in the sprint than Emil Balling.
Los Andinos's Elías Aicardi was happy for the win. Today was me and my team's day. This win is not only important for me, but also for the team! said Elías Aicardi.
Los Andinos's manager, jorgeGH, was satisfied after the result in La Ribera Critérium. Elías Aicardi did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and Elías Aicardi had the power to win, said the manager."
Congrats to our very own Mick Mejier for his second place result. We are no longer the last placed Canadian Team
